Soursop, Sarsaparilla Sea Moss

This is really a ‘roots’ classic in every sense of the term. We have taken three much loved traditional Caribbean ingredients and made a blend that is as tasty as it is healthy, and liable to put a smile on the face of anybody who is a touch downcast.

Soursop is a real staple of the region, a delicious fruit that is vaguely comparable to pineapple and strawberry in terms of flavour, and has a deeply invigorating, lingering aroma that is totally unique. As for Sea Moss it is greatly trusted by ‘big people’, and has the significant amount of the fibre needed to maintain a good digestive system and ward off any niggling problems with the intestine. All these elements significantly shape the central character of this blend, which treats the stomach well and also tickles the taste buds.

Last but not least is the kick provided by sarsparilla, a plant found in the Caribbean and Central America that is recognized first and foremost for its sweetness, thus bringing a burst of energy to the tea. But sarsparilla, often used for soft drinks, has more to offer than a welcome hit on the palate. It is known to be good for both skin and joints due to the presence of saponins in the plant, which has long been used in traditional remedies.
